Nuggets' Nikola Jokic Sets NBA Record Against Warriors
Nikola Jokic continues to show just how unstoppable he can be, setting an NBA-record third-straight triple-double in the Denver Nuggets' 119-103 win against the Golden State Warriors on Sunday, Feb. 25, in San Francisco.
Jokic scored 32 points alongside 16 rebounds and 16 assists, making this the third consecutive game in which he had at least 14 points and 14 rebounds — the first time anyone's ever done that. Golden State star Steph Curry only managed 20 points, and the team's Klay Thompson had 23 points in the first half with zero in the second.
Jokic's Amazing Season of Triple-Doubles
This was Jokic's 18th triple-double of the season, but it's yet another record in a slew of accomplishments he's had this season and throughout his career.
Just this season, he became the first player with 26 points, 16 rebounds and 18 assists in a game as well as the first to ever have more than 10 triple-doubles in seven back-to-back seasons.
And who could forget last year's playoffs when Jokic became the first player in playoff history to have more than 175 points, 65 rebounds and 50 assists during a five-game span?
Needless to say, the Nuggets' seventh straight win against the Warriors shows that there could be a new dynasty in town — and Jokic is leading the way.
